Reciprocating saw blades cut through material with a push and pull motion of the blade. They can be used for cutting through wood and metal quickly and cleanly. The number of teeth per inch (TPI) will determine that type of material it can cut. Lower TPI delivers faster cuts and is best used for cutting wood.
