There’s insulation, and there’s Rockwool stone wool insulation. Unlike petrochemical-based insulation materials, Rockwool is made from stone. Which means it is a natural high-performance material that is highly resistant to mould and fungus. It is easy to work with and extremely durable. And, you will be pleased to know, non-combustible.

What is Rockwool?

Rockwool is a stone-based insulation. It is sourced from abundant lava deposits of volcanic rocks which are melted in a cupola furnace like a controlled man-made volcano. As the re-melted lava comes out of the furnace, it is spun, given water repellency treatment and bound together in a wool-like fleece, which is then cut and shaped into convenient blocks and mats.

Why choose Rockwool?

Rockwool products are easy to use, fit perfectly, and perform efficiently for decades without the need for maintenance or adjustment. So you save time and money fitting them and are less likely to have to go back to remedy problems later.

  • Easy to work with
  • Effective for decades
  • Regulates temperature and cuts energy bills
  • Reduces unwanted noise
  • Best-in-class protection from damp, mould and fire
